Is Nude Raider Real and if so Why?

Lara Croft is one of the most iconic characters in gaming. She is also one of the first if not the first sex symbol to come from the video game world. The original game came out in 1996 and almost as soon as the game hit selves for PC’s, the original PlayStation and Sega Saturn, rumors started that you could put in a code and play the whole game with Lara in her birthday suit. The rumor started with the PC version but soon after the same was starting to be said that with the right cheat code you can do the same on the PS1 and Saturn. Is the “Nude Raider” myth true and if so why on earth would any game company allow this to happen with one of their most important series?
