Gamer Myth | January 27, 2015 Is Luigi Hidden in Mario 64?
Luigi has become so popular that he is now more than just Mario’s brother. With his increasing popularity Luigi has gotten several games of his own like Luigi’s Haunted Mansion and New Super Luigi U. Nintendo saw how beloved Luigi is when they created Mario 64 in 1996, when gamers all starting asking “Hey Mario, Where's Luigi?” Luigi was nowhere to be found in the Nintendo 64 launch title. But, gamers started to say you can unlock Luigi if you find every coin in the game. Soon after screen shots of the game with Mario and Luigi starting hitting the web proving this is true. This myth started to hit its stride when a plaque on a fountain can be found that says “L is real 2401”, with the L standing for Luigi. GTTV and Pop Fiction gave us a answers to this myth!
