Now You're Playing With Power

When Nintendo launch the NES or the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America in 1985 the video game industry was a mess. Arcades in the US had collapsed, Atari was in trouble, ColecoVision had started to exit the video game industry and Intellivision owned by Mattel was also suffering. We here at Level Gaming Ground are all lifelong gamers and we love Retro Games. This infographic is inspired by some of Nintendo’s ad campaigns and the box art that was on the NES box. It highlights how Nintendo market their new system when it came out in 1985. They have the trademark black background with orange lettering that you may recognize because they used it in many of their ads. We love that the games are on old round full screen televisions. “Now you’re playing with power” is also the slogan for new NES mini retro console.
