So we can all be honest, deep down inside we are all a little worried that Vikings are going to attack and steal our video games. But, thanks to When Vikings Attack we now know how to defend ourselves. We should stand back and throw things at them. This game is a perfect example of how a game can be great, not cost a lot of money to make or buy. When Vikings Attack has its own unique gameplay, art style and could be one of the best unique games out there. The whole game is picking stuff up and throwing it at your foes the Vikings. You also need to dodge, catch or steal the things that are being thrown at you. Now this might sound boring but it is far from it. The mix of fun fast pace combat mixed with interactive backgrounds had us laughing over and over again. It is rare to find a game that works so well in both single and multiplayer but however you play, you will love what the game throws at you. You are technically doing the same thing over and over but the game never feels repetitive and it is always challenging.

If you like the arcade games that have a boss battle at the end of each level, you will love playing this When Vikings Attack. Each time you get to the end you have to defeat a boss and all of them have different ways you need to figure out how to defeat them. Each of them are different and each are just as much fun as the rest of the game. Once again they found a way to make sure you are doing something different for each boss even though you’re fighting centers around picking up stuff and throwing it at the Vikings. The game also supports cross platform play and cross platform saves between the PlayStation 3 and the Vita. You have access to the game in single and multiplayer also for both systems. This game is only $10.00 and for that price the amount of gameplay is perfect. The PlayStation Network site states that software may be sold separately so you might need to buy a copy for both the PlayStation 3 and Vita for cross platform play. The copy we got only had the PS3 version so keep that in mind. The game is not worth an additional $10.00 just to play on two systems but more often than not buying one copy means you get a version to play you PlayStation and your Vita.

When Vikings Attack is just fun and we could not find any weak points besides we wanted more. There are no issues with the camera, controls, or any combat elements. Everything works like you want it to every time. The voice acting and storyline is set in the style of the 1950’s duck and cover public safety campaign and it is great. Could not stop playing either in the story mode single player campaign or multiplayer and the game has a huge amount of replay value. This is a great party game and it does not matter if it is the first video game that you have ever played or if you are a lifelong gamer, any and all will love this game. Worth the $10.00 price easily, under $5.00 MUST BUY PRICE!
