Xbox, Windows, PlayStation

Desperate Escape is a DLC for Resident Evil 5, you must own RE5 to play it. We are assuming that you have already played Resident Evil 5, this means you know that about half way through the game you find a rescue Jill from Wesker. But in order to keep chasing Wesker Chris and Sheva had to leave her behind. Shortly after they leave Josh Stone the last surviving member of BSAA Delta team finds her, he has also been separated from Chris and Sheva earlier. Now the two of them must find a way to get back in the fight because Wesker is more powerful now than he has ever been.

This DLC is kind of a good news bad news review. The good news is that it has all of the same great game mechanics that RE5 and the other DLC pack Lost in Nightmares. You are attacked in huge waves of foe after foe and you can always hit your target where you are trying to hit them. There are some bosses to fight but the entire campaign takes place in one area. The bad news is just like Lost in Nightmares the DLC is only about an hour long and you could go through the whole thing in under 30 minutes in a speed run. Desperate Escape is really fun and has a higher replay value than the other DLC packs for Resident Evil 5 but it is still only worth paying under $2 dollars for. Sadly neither playable campaigns go on sale very often and paying $5 is a rip off for this DLC. If you don’t want to pay full price don’t worry about it you are not missing too much, remember under $2 is all its worth.
