1942 Joint Strike Review | April 7, 2013
Xbox, PlayStation

Picture
The 1942 game was originally released back during the arcades in 1984. This top down shooter has had several updates, squeals and has been on a lot of different gaming platforms. This new style update still feels like classic gaming and still plays like it too. With so many games getting just horrible HD upgrades 1942 Joint Strike gets it mostly right both in look and feel but be wish there was a little more structure to the game.

So you are in a plane and you have to destroy thousands of other planes, helicopters, and countless Navy vessels by yourself (or co-op/online play), that sound like a good plan. Capcom has done pretty well with these games since they have come out. Some have been so difficult that the phase “NINTENDO HARD” could have been coined by someone trying to beat this game for the original NES. Having said all of that we still found ourselves trying over and over again to defeat the final level. Is it fun yes, will you play it over and over yes, but you need to spend less than the $10 price tag. There are so many other better games you could buy if you are going to spend $10 on it. $5 or less would be better keep your eye out for a sale.
