Wolf of the Battlefield Commando 3 is a top down shoot'em up. It is in the same style as the the other two Commando games Commando and Commandos 2 Mercs. The eariley games were arcade hits while Wolf of the Battlefield is only a digital down load. You can play in single player, mutiplayer up to three players or co-op. This is not a ground breaking game but it is easy to pick up and play and has a retro HD look and style to the game. If you like arcade shoot'em ups then this could be the right place for your money.

Wolf of the Battlefield is easy to understand, shoot all of the bad guys shooting at you. You get temporary weapon power us vehicles and gun turrets keeping things from felling repetitive. The story falls into the category of an evil dictator is trying to take over the world. It is simple but it is at least done in a funny way. We do wish that the voice acting was a little more over the top because the characters and storyline is a little conservative. It took us several tries to get through the game the first time. You only get seven lives and if you lose all seven it is game over no continues.

So, when you add it all up the game took us between 5 to 7 hours. Wolf of the Battlefield is one of those games that each time play it you get a further and further each time. And then on you fourth of fifth try you finally defeat the final level. We do like this game, after you figure out how to get to the end it is a little short on gameplay and some of the vehicles are hard to control. That however did not stop us from playing it, so it does have above average replay. Keep your price under $10 it is worth it at that price.
