Burial At Sea Episode Two | March 27, 2016
Xbox 360, Windows, PlayStation 3

Picture
Bioshock Infinite Burial at Sea Episode Two is a first person shooter survival horror DLC pack. You need to have Bioshock Infinite to play this DLC and we are assuming that you have already defeated that game since this review has some spoilers for all three Bioshock games. You don’t however need Episode One to play Episode Two but we highly recommend it because it picks up right where the other one ends. In this final DLC to Bioshock Infinite still has Elizabeth and Booker in Rapture but you play as Elizabeth and your guide somehow is Booker. Rapture still stands but why is Elizabeth back there?

Burial at Sea Episode Two brings the entire Bioshock series full circle. This is more like the first game, it is extremely suspenseful. Elizabeth is unsure of what is going on and why she is in Rapture. This is compounded by the mysterious voice of Booker guiding her as she is wondering around. She is trapped not only in the city but in between the conflict with Atlas and Andrew Ryan. But you don’t just spend all of you time in the part of Rapture that Andrew Ryan sank to get rid of Atlas. Elizabeth combat has more of a stealthy element to it. You can still charge right in and start shooter every splicer you see but many of her weapons and plasmids are made for taking people out quietly and many of the situations you are in encourage you to sneak up on people.

The story is amazing for Bioshock gamers. Reliving Rapture and getting more information about Andrew Ryan and Atlas conflict is what we wanted when we heard about the two part Burial at Sea DLC packs. It took us between 3 and 4 hours to get to the very satisfying ending. All game mechanics are perfect as you would expect from Bioshock also. Since you are playing as Elizabeth there is also a lock picking mini game that we like more than we thought we would. At $15 it is worth it but at goes on sale often for $7.50 or under all the time. For a Bioshock fan the $7.50 is a MUST BUY PRICE!
