Bioshock Infinite Burial at Sea Episode One is a first person shooter survival horror DLC pack. You need to have Bioshock Infinite to play this DLC and we are assuming that you have already defeated that game since this review has some spoilers for all three Bioshock games. It is New Year’s Eve 1958 in the underwater city of Rapture. A very important date in the Bioshock universe because it is the beginning of the end for Andrew Ryan’s vision as the cracks of his society are starting to show. A woman walks into an office. She holds up a picture and says she is looking for a little girl name Sally. Elizabeth is the woman and the man she just hired is Booker. Why are they in Rapture?

Burial at Sea Episode One bring together everything we love about Bioshock. The story interconnects all three games and gives you look at how beautiful Rapture was at one time. Elizabeth and Booker Dewitt fighting the splicers and a Big Daddy here and there is amazing. If you are a story driven gamer you will be very happy here. Controls, cameras are all perfect and combat is smooth and fast with Elizabeth helping as much as she can along the way just like in Infinite. They even managed to bring the Skyhook to Rapture as part of the story. The conversations between Booker and Elizabeth return as she know more than she lets on. Booker is listening to her but he is not sure why.

It took us around the 2 hour mark to get through this DLC but we did everything and went everywhere. Replay value is above average. That has more to do with how fun it is to see Rapture again. Burial at Sea Episode One is the first part of a two part series. You don’t need to have part one to play part two but since their stories are connected we recommend playing both. The new game price on this DLC is $15 but that is a little high. Keep you price under $10 and you will enjoy it even more. Sales happen all the time at or around the $7.50 price point. If you find it under $5.00 it is a MUST BUY PRICE!
